When performing as a group with shakuhachi (vertical bamboo flute), shinobue (transverse bamboo flute), taiko (drums) and other percussion instruments are then added to the mixture. The resulting sound is both rich and vibrant. Infectious rhythms recreate the atmosphere of a boisterous, traditional festival.
